Bruce Lee is a popular culture icon. Starting his martial arts career within the school of Wing Chun, Lee would go on to form his own martial art Jeet Kune Do. Beyond that, Lee’s philosophies on fighting and on life have persisted to this day.
Lee ultimately passed away July 20, 1973 at the age of 32. Speaking on his YouTube channel, former UFC fighter turned Bellator heavyweight Chael Sonnen has now come forward with his thoughts on the legendary martial artist.
“I don’t know that the Bruce Lee story has ever or will ever accurately be told.” Sonnen said. “Bruce was a wimp. Bruce couldn’t fight a lick. But, Bruce had philosophies that were very ahead of his time.”
