Former UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo put on a stunning performance over the weekend. The former title holder was coming off of a two fight losing streak to reigning champion Max Holloway.
However, Aldo earned a first round TKO victory over Jeremy Stephens in the co-main event of UFC on FOX 30 on Saturday, July 28. Speaking to TMZ Sports, former featherweight champion Conor McGregor offered his thoughts on Aldo’s performance.
“I’m so happy for him. Honestly, truly happy to see the joy he had after it. “It’s a crazy business. I know he’s gone through a lot of stuff, so to see him come back with that great finish — I was very happy for him and his coach, Andre Pederneiras. The whole of Ireland was happy for José Aldo that night.”
Conor McGregor knockout out Jose Aldo in just 13 seconds for the featherweight title back at UFC 194.
