Daniel Cormier made UFC history on Saturday, becoming the second fighter within the promotion to simultaneously hold two division titles. Now the two-division champion has come forward with a message for his recently defeated opponent.
UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier went toe-to-toe with UFC heavyweight title holder Stipe Miocic on July 7 for UFC 226, earning a first round knockout victory over the fighter. Miocic would later take to Twitter to claim that he wants a rematch against the new two-division title holder.
“Congrats to DC. Didn’t get the chance to say it in the cage, but lets dance again and get a rematch before you call it a career.
“Thx to my coaches and team.
“Being the greatest heavyweight in UFC history is a career-long journey and doesnt end here. I’m more motivated than ever!”
