UFC megastar Conor McGregor had his day in court on Thursday, July 26. Following the reveal that the Ireland native will not be receiving jail time, it would appear that Khabib Nurmagomedov has obtained a security detail. Now two-division champion Daniel Cormier has decided to poke fun at his teammate over the matter.
Conor McGregor appeared in court on Thursday to face charges concerning a fracas that took place in Brooklyn, New York on April 5. McGregor led a large group of individual backstage of the Barclays Center, where the group allegedly attacked a UFC buss filled with fighters.
Khabib Nurmagomedov was the reported target, as Nurmagomedov was involved in an altercation with McGregor’s teammate Artem Lobov days before. After landing a plea deal, however, McGregor has since had his felony charges dropped and is due to pay certain restitution, undergo a 1-3 day anger management evaluation and partake in five days of community service.
Taking to the internet, Daniel Cormier has since recorded and published a video of his American Kickboxing Academy teammate Khabib Nurmagomedov having a security detail. Cormier then jokingly asks the Dagestan native if he is afraid that Conor McGregor will show up.
