UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier made history over the weekend, but former heavyweight title holder Brock Lesnar managed to snare the spotlight from the champion for just a moment. Now UFC President Dana White has come forward with his thoughts on the matter.
Daniel Cormier moved up in weight to challenge UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic for his title in the highly exciting main event of UFC 226 on Saturday, July 7. Live on pay-per-view from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev., Cormier knocked out Miocic within the first round of their fight.
Cormier made sure not to squander his post-fight interview, quickly calling out former heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar. Lesnar entered the octagon and swiftly shoved the night’s main event victory with a violent force, leading to UFC officials rushing between Lesnar and Cormier.
Speaking after the event, UFC President Dana White has now come forward with a few words on Brock Lesnar’s actions concerning the incident.
“It got a little out of control there. It got a little weird, but he came tonight and he was all fired up. He was acting crazy down with me at the seats. He’s fired up to be back.”
