UFC welterweight contender Darren Till is now set to face reigning UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley for his next octagon performance. Interim champion Colby Covington has been left by the wayside, as the fighter will be stripped of his title at the start of the fight.
Till and Woodley are set to face off in the main event of UFC 228. The event will take place Sept. 8 in Dallas, Texas, live on pay-per-view.
Speaking to MMANytt, Darren Till offered a few words on the backlash he has received for accepting the fight. Check it out below.
“What do you want me to do? You want me to just say no? You want me to just go, ‘Dana, you know what? It’s fine. I don’t want the title shot. Give it to someone else.’ If Dana’s offering me the shot, I’m not going to say no.”
