UFC women’s flyweight and mixed martial arts veteran Roxanne Modafferi has come forward with a new message. Following her recent victory inside the octagon, Modafferi is willing to take on any fighter in the division, even Valentina Shevchenko.
Modafferi avenged a former loss to Barb Honchak with a second round TKO victory at the TUF 27 Finale on Friday, July 6. Speaking to MMA Junkie, Modafferi revealed that she is willing to take on any fighter within her weight class. The MMA competitor is even willing to take on top contender Valentina Shevchenko.
“I don’t really understand how the rankings work,” Modafferi said. “Because somehow I dropped in the rankings and Barb rose above me despite neither of us having fought anybody. Whatever. I hope to rise in the rankings now, however that works, to work my way back up to title contention.
“I would just like to say on record that I’m not afraid of anybody in my weight division. So bring them on.”
