Former UFC heavyweight title challenger Francis Ngannou is coming off of a tough loss. That being said, the knockout artist believes he deserves a shot at last weekend’s victorious UFC Fight Night 133 headliner.
Francis Ngannou faced off against Derrick Lewis back at UFC 226. With the fight having gone the distance and having earned the record for second least strikes thrown in a 15 minute fight, Francis Ngannou ultimately suffered a unanimous decision loss to an injured Derrick Lewis.
Meanwhile, former champion Junior dos Santos earned a unanimous decision victory of his own over UFC newcomer Blagoy Ivanov in the main event of UFC Fight Night 133 on Saturday. Speaking to MMA Junkie, Francis Ngannou decided to call out the former champion.
“I have no injuries. This year I want to fight. Who I want to fight, exactly? I was supposed to fight Junior almost a year, 10 months ago. He just came back. Great win. So, maybe that one.”
