While Sage Northcutt just moved from lightweight to welterweight over the weekend, the Karate phenom has now come forward to reveal that he believes he may be a heavyweight later in his mixed martial arts career.
Team Alpha Male’s Sage Northcutt is undefeated in the lightweight division as a fighter. That being said, the fighter made the move back to welterweight for his fight against Zak Ottow at UFC Fight Night 133 on Saturday.
Northcutt made short work of his opponent, earning a second round knockout over the fighter. Speaking to MMA Junkie after the fight, Sage Northcutt offered his thoughts on the future.
“If you look at my brother, my brother’s like (6’4”), and he’s only 19 years old. So I hope I’m as tall as him. I might be 6’5”. I could be 220, 230 pounds. I have no idea. My mom’s dad was 6’5”. I could be fighting at 185 in the future. But first, 170.”
