UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier shocked the world when he knocked out Stipe Miocic within the first round at UFC 226 for the heavyweight title. Now it would appear that the two-division champion has decided to answer a callout out from Corey Anderson over social media.
D.C. has been quite vocal that he plans to call an end to his career at the age of 40. With that in mind, Cormier now has less than a year to complete his career in the sport.
The two-division title holder called out former UFC heavyweight Brock Lesnar after his knockout victory over Stipe Miocic. However, Lesnar must complete a total six months of USADA testing to finish out his suspension before he can fight once more.
Meanwhile, Daniel Cormier has voiced an interest in defending his light heavyweight title once more before fighting Lesnar. In the wake of that news, light heavyweight Corey Anderson has come forward with a respectful call out of the champion.
“Yo @dc_mma , They said a win over me and Glover would earn a title shot..I beat em, media said you wanted Shogun and he lost, you told Gus off, and you already fought Volkan.. I’ll never ‘call you out’ out of respect. But I’m 100% down to fight you. #UFC @ufc #letsdoit”
