Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones is currently awaiting USADA’s hearing concerning his latest failed drug test. With that in mind, “Bones” Jones has now come forward over social media to reveal that he required “professional help” after being accused of taking performance enhancing drugs.
Jon Jones failed his drug test for UFC 214, which was the fighter’s comeback octagon performance following a one-year suspension for a failed drug test from UFC 200. Consequently, the former title holder has been taking some serious heat from fight fans.
Taking to Twitter, in a message that has since been deleted, Jon Jones stated:
“You guys will never know how bad it hurt me to be fast accused of taking steroids. I actually had to seek professional help over it. When life gives you lemons you have to make lemonade. I do believe right now I’m better than ever.”
