UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier shocked the world on Saturday. Now heated rival and former title holder Jon Jones has come forward with his thoughts on the matter.
D.C. knocked out UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic within the first round of their fight on Saturday, July 7, at UFC 226. Cormier is now the second fighter in UFC history to obtain multiple titles simultaneously.
Taking to Twitter, Jon Jones has since decided to offer a message of his own. Rather than congratulate his rival, Jones has decided to share his thoughts concerning his own abilities.
“Just keep in mind that life is a journey and not a race. If it’s in Gods will for me to still be here and healthy, please believe that they’ll be many more fights to come. Let’s not forget I’m still the youngest guy in the top 5 at HW & LHW”
