“Khabib, where you at!?”, was one of the first things uttered by a victorious Dustin Poirier following last night’s UFC Calgary main event.
In it, Poirier settled the score with Eddie Alvarez in a fight that was a long time in the making.
Now, after dispatching several top ranked fighters and former champions of his division, Poirier wants his title shot.
Of course, the UFC will likely try and piece together a bout between their champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor, but Poirier cemented himself atop the short list of worthy title challengers.
The UFC took to their official Instagram to quote Poirier’s post fight sentiments. In doing so, they got a response in the comment section from Khabib, who was in attendance during Saturday’s event.
