Khabib Reveals UFC Made Him Take A Security Detail After Conor Tweet And Deleted This Message

UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov was recently spotted with a security detail. With UFC megastar Conor McGregor having just struck a plea deal with the New York court system, many fight fans believed the incident to be more than coincidence.

Two-division UFC champion and teammate Daniel Cormier went on to share a video of Nurmagomedov with his security team, while asking the Dagestan native if he’s scared of Conor McGregor showing up. The video may be seen within the footage provided above.

Speaking at a fan Q&A prior to the UFC on FOX 30 ceremonial weigh-ins, Khabib Nurmagomedov revealed that he was forced to take the security detail by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Following a message that was sent over Twitter and then deleted by Conor McGregor, the promotion gave “The Eagle” his security detail.

“If you have problem with somebody, why you need to come with 30 people with camera?” Nurmagomedov said. “I don’t understand this. Yesterday UFC called me. ‘We need you. We need to talk with you.’ They said, ‘We have to give you a couple security guys.’ This guy put tweet then he deleted. He put tweet, ‘Cavalry, let’s go to Canada.’ Why you need cavalry? Just send me location.”
