UFC megastar Conor McGregor had his court date on July 26 following a fracas that took place inside the Barclays Center on April 5. With “Notorious” not seeing any jail time, Khabib Nurmagomedov’s management has come forward with a statement.
Conor McGregor led a large group backstage of the Barclays Center, where the group allegedly attacked a UFC bus full of competitors for the UFC 223 fight card. Among them, UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov was reportedly the target. “The Eagle” had a confrontation with McGregor’s teammate Artem Lobov days earlier.
McGregor’s felony charges were dropped, as the Ireland native struck a plea deal on Thursday. Pleading guilty to one count of disorderly conduct, “Notorious” is required to pay restitution for damages caused to a UFC bus, must preform five days of community service and is required to partake in a 1-3 day anger management evaluation.
Speaking to MMA Fighting, Khabib Nurmagomedov’s manager Ali Abdelaziz has come forward with a heated message on the matter.
“There’s no more talking. This is the Khabib show now. To be honest, the way I feel about it, Conor would be much safer in jail. If this fight happens, the person who would execute the community service is Khabib by giving this ass whooping for the people.”
