UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway will no longer be fitting this weekend. In the wake of the recent news, UFC superstar Conor McGregor offered a quick message for the reigning title holder. Now Holloway has fired back with a response.
Max Holloway was initially set to put his title on the line in the co-main event of UFC 226 on Saturday, July 7. Undefeated rising challenger Brian Ortega was locked in for the highly anticipated live pay-per-view match up.
However, Holloway has since been removed from the card for reportedly suffering concussion-like symptoms. Taking to Twitter, former featherweight and former lightweight UFC champion Conor McGregor offered a respectful message to the fighter.
“My thoughts and my respect are with 145lb World Champion Max ‘Blessed’ Holloway.”
