Fight fans are pouring into the Pearl Theatre in Las Vegas, Nev. tonight, July 6, for the latest fight card from the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Now the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion is hosting the epic finale for The Ultimate Fighter Season 27.
Kicking off the night’s FS1 main card, middleweights Alessio Di Chirico and Julian Marquez are throwing down for division supremacy. Check out the UFC results below.
Di Chirico and Marquez opened the fight at a brutal pace. Di Chirico began popping off and landing power shots on Marquez, but Marquez sent his opponent reeling with a stunning right hand counter halfway through the round.
Marquez picked up the pace in the second round, pressuring his opponent into the fence before dishing out some punishing shots. However, Di Chirico managed to take his opponent to the canvas in the closing two minutes of the match. However, Marquez managed make it back to his feet before the sound of the bell.
Neither fighter appeared gassed in the opening moments of the final round. Marquez began to walk down his opponent, as Di Chirico appeared to not have an answer for Marquez’s powerful striking.
Marquez continued to pummel his opponent, until Di Chirico managed to take the fighter to the canvas. However, Marquez was quick to get back to the feet.
This one has gone the distance.
