Millender and Griffin Open Up UFC 226 TV Card Opener In Style| UFC Results

Fight fans are pouring into the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev. this weekend for International Fight Week. Now the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is hosting the exciting fight card for UFC 226 inside the illustrious arena.

The highly anticipated fight card is going on on July 7 and features a series of exciting match ups. Kicking off the night’s live FOX Sports 1 prelims, welterweights Curtis Millender and Max Griffin are going toe-to-toe for the Las Vegas crowd. The opening round was seemingly a dominant one for Max Griffin. Griffin quickly managed to get his opponent to the canvas after exchanging with Millender from the feet.

Griffin maintained a dominant position over Millender from the ground and punished his opponent with some brutal strikes before the sound of the bell. This was an excellent five minutes for Griffin.

Millender seemed to make significant changes to his stand up in the second round. The fighter rocked Griffin in the final minute of the round and took his opponent to the canvas. However, the fighter made sure to pummel Griffin with a little ground and pound before the sound of the bell.

Griffin returned in the final round with a vengeance. The fighter began to push the pace, but Millender ultimately seemed to be getting the better of his opponent in the striking exchanges.

Still, neither fighter was able to get a finish before the sound of the bell. This one has gone the distance.
