The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is in Las Vegas, Nev. tonight, July 6, for the latest fight card from the promotion. This time around, the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion is hosting the highly anticipated The Ultimate Fighter Season 27 Finale.
In the featured FS1 prelim of the night, former TUF competitors Montana De La Rosa and Rachael Ostovich are throwing down in a women’s flyweight match up. Check out the UFC results from the bout down below.
Ostovich kicked off the fight at a swift pace. The fighter began to pressure her opponent, but De La Rosa retaliated with stiff counters that seemed to earn the respect of her opponent. By the end of the round, De La Rosa appeared to be the busier of the two fighters. De La Rosa even managed to rock her opponent with a right hand that sent Ostovich on her back foot.
This was seemingly a big round for De La Rosa.
Neither fighter was looking to give up the second round, as De La Rosa and Ostovich battled it out in a series of brutal exchanges. This is going to be a tough five minutes for the judges.
In the final round, Ostovich managed to get her opponent to the canvas within the opening two minutes. The fighter made an armbar attempt, but De La Rosa ultimately managed to slip out of the submission attempt.
De La Rosa took her opponent’s back and brutalized her opponent before sinking in a rear-naked choke that brought a stop to the contest.
