The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is hosting UFC 226 inside the T-Mobile Arena in Saturday, July 7, for the Las Vegas crowd and for Intentional Fight Week fans around the world. Continuing the night’s preliminary card live on FOX Sports 1, bantamweights Raphael Assuncao and Rob Font are facing off for the Las Vegas crowd.
Assuncao came out of the gate with a ferocity, pummeling Font with a series of power shots. Font retaliated with a few counters of his own, but Assuncao appeared to be getting the better of his opponent in the stand up.
Assuncao took his opponent to the canvas early in the second round, making for a tough few minutes for Font. However, the fighter was ultimately able to make it back to his feet.
Assuncao continued to seemingly get the better of his opponent in the final round, eventually taking Font to the canvas. From the ground, Assuncao began to rain down a barrage of brutal ground and pound.
