UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic is currently gearing up to face off against reigning UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier. The two will throw down on the highly anticipated fight card of UFC 226 on July 7, live on pay-per-view.
Speaking at the recent UFC 226 media lunch, Stipe Miocic revealed that he is receiving the payday of his career for the fight.
“Dana and I, we talked that stuff out and it worked out great.” When asked if UFC 226 will be the payday of his career, Miocic retorted “100 percent.”
“A lot has changed. I think it had a lot to do with the change in the company too, they were stuck in their transition. I’m just, I was stuck when they sold the company, they were looking for what’s good for them, but I understand that. They spent a lot of money, they spent four billion dollars it’s not like ‘ahh, sure guys.’ it’s a little bit different than that. They made it right and it was all good.”
