The Ultimate Fighter Season 27 Finale is going down tonight, July 6, for fight fans worldwide. Featured live on FS1, the finale is taking place within the Pearl Theatre in Las Vegas, Nev.
Featured on the night’s main card, TUF 27 featherweight finalists Brad Katona of team Cormier and Jay Cucciniello of team Miocic are battling it out for an opportunity to be signed by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). The UFC results can be seen below.
Cucciniello pressed the pace for much of the first round, keeping Katona on his back foot. However, Katona managed to drop his opponent before the sound of the bell.
Katona managed to drop his opponent early in the second round as well, this time going to the canvas for some follow up ground and pound. This was seemingly a dominant round for Katona.
Katona put on a largely dominant performance in the final round, using his wrestling to control his opponent for the final five minutes of the fight. In the end, the fight went the distance.
