Las Vegas, Nev. is hosting a series of stunning fights this weekend. The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is in the city for International Fight Week, with the highly anticipated fight card for UFC 226 going down this Saturday July 7.
The featured live FOX Sports 1 prelim is now going down, as undefeated middleweight Paulo Costa and Uriah Hall are going toe-to-toe for division dominance. The UFC results from the intense show down may be seen below.
The first round opened up with a furry, as Hall began to piece up his opponent with a series of jabs. The fight reached a momentary pause, as Costa landed an accidental low blow on his opponent.
Before the end of the round, Costa struck his opponent with another accidental low blow. The referee elected to give the fighter another warning, rather than taking away a point for the illegal blow.
The round was seemingly a dominant performance by Uriah Hall.
In the second round, Paulo Costa dropped Uriah Hall with a knockout blow that brought a stop to the contest.
