Former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold is a longtime member of San Jose, California’s American Kickboxing Academy (AKA). After a lengthy stint away from the training camp, the former title holder has now returned.
Luke Rockhold often trains alongside the likes of reigning champions Daniel Cormier, Khabib Nurmagomedov and former title holder Cain Velasquez over at AKA. However, Rockhold has recently been training out of Florida.
Taking to Instagram, Luke Rockhold has now revealed that he is back training at his home camp. Check it out below.

AKA head coach Javier Mendez has since also offered a message after a training session with the former champion.
“Great training tonight with my Guy @lukerockhold I predicted greatness from him on his 1st day with us and I still see Greatness now He didn’t even really know about real sparring that He didn’t have a mouth piece on that 1st Day 11 years ago He said where can I get one..I told him Target I didn’t think He would be back! But He did come back 15 min later with a mouth piece. He was very impressive on His 1st Sparring that I thought this Guy is a Great Athlete that actually likes to Fight Champion Material #weareaka #weareakafamily #akaforlife”
Luke Rockhold will face fellow former champion Chris Weidman for a highly anticipated rematch at UFC 230. The fight will take place Nov. 3, live on pay-per-view.
