UFC women’s flyweight champion Nicco Montano is currently set to defend her title from Valentina Shevchenko at UFC 228 on Sept. 8. With that in mind, former UFC fighter Angela Magana has now come forward to claim that she is responsible for Montano’s career.
Taking to Twitter, Angela Magana claimed she is the person that persuaded Nicco Montano into beginning a career within mixed martial arts. Beyond that, Magana claimed that she is training a fighter to take out UFC women’s featherweight champion and heated rival Cris Cyborg.
“Training the #UFC ‘s @NiccoMontano to be the champ. I’m the reason she started MMA, I needed MMA sparring with females so I talked her into it haha. And for my next champ, I’m training up the baddest female boxer to take on Cyborg.”
