Sergio Pettis is set to fight Jussier Da Silva on the preliminary card for UFC 229 on Oct. 6. That being said, it would appear that Pettis’ former champion older brother is not too happy that the fighter is competing on the undercard.
Speaking on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show, Anthony “Showtime” Pettis has come forward with his thoughts on the matter.
“UFC, I don’t know what Sergio has to do to get on the main card. He’s No. 2 in the world fighting No. 5 or No. 6 in the world and they are fighting on the undercard.”
“Show the kid some respect, he’s busting his ass, and I see how hard he’s working. It’s kind of offensive to see him on the undercard.”
