Thursday evening, the Los Angeles Times broke news that Nate Diaz is to return to the UFC for a UFC 230 co-main event against Dustin Poirier.
The stage was set, and both fighters attended today’s press-conference. However, Nate Diaz was visibly pissed, and stormed off the stage when the UFC made a surprise announcement that Khabib vs. McGregor is set for UFC 229.
Now, it is unclear why Diaz is mad. Maybe he was promised to share the McGregor card, and the UFC placed that fight elsewhere. Or maybe he was simply mad that the UFC even associated Conor with a Diaz press conference.
At any rate, Diaz stormed out, then immediately hit twitter. Which prompted Poirier to do the same.
