The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has been preparing for the highly anticipated fight card of UFC Fight Night 137 for some time now. However, it would appear that the event is now short one of its headliners.
UFC Fight Night 137 is set to go down from within the Ginásio do Ibirapuera in São Paulo, Brazil on Sept. 22. The event was initially set to see UFC light heavyweight Glover Teixeira face off against Jimi Manuwa. However it would appear that things have since changed.
ESPN’s Ariel Helwani has since reported that Glover Teixeira has been removed from the fight card due to a sustained injury. The promotion will now be forced to scramble for a replacement opponent to take on Jimi Manuwa in the night’s headliner.
