Cejudo Becomes First In History To Win Olympic And UFC Gold

Freestyle wrestling Olympic gold medalist Henry Cejudo shocked the world on Saturday. The mixed martial artist avenged his first round TKO loss to UFC flyweight Demetrious Johnson by earning a split decision victory.

The two fighters faced off for the co-main event of UFC 227 on Saturday, Aug. 4, from within the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Calif., live on pay-per-view. The fight ultimately went the distance, with Cejudo becoming the first fighter in UFC history to have both earned a UFC title and an Olympic gold medal.
