The UFC utilized the recent 25th Anniversary Press Conference to finalize that Nate Diaz is set to make his octagon return against Dustin Poirier in the co-main event of UFC 230 on Nov. 3 inside the Madison Square Garden in New York, live on pay-per-view. However, the promotion also revealed that Conor McGregor will be making his big return to the octagon against lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov in the live pay-per-view main event of UFC 230 on Oct. 6 in Las Vegas, Nev.
Nate Diaz walked out of the presser during the announcement of McGregor’s fight. The Stockton native then held his own pseudo-conference on the street outside of the venue. The fighter showed his outrage over the UFC’s treatment of him during the moment.
Speaking at the recent UFC 227 post-fight press conference, UFC President Dana White offered his thoughts on the matter.
“You tell me if everything is alright with Nate Diaz.” White said. “You know way more than I do. If you can decipher that code, call me tomorrow and let me know.”
