Dana White Explains Concerns With Keeping Khabib And Conor Non-Violent Until Fight Night

UFC superstar Conor McGregor made headlines back in April when the fighter was involved in a fracas. On April 5, from within the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, “Notorious” led a large entourage backstage of the center.

From there, the entourage allegedly attacked a UFC charter bus filled with UFC 223 red corner fighters. The intended target was reportedly Khabib Nurmagomedov, who was involved in a confrontation with McGregor’s teammate Artem Lobov days earlier.

Well, “Notorious” has since had his court date and will officially see no jail time or felony convictions for the incident. Now Conor McGregor and newly crowned UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov are set to throw down in the main event of UFC 229 on Oct. 6, live on pay-per-view.

Speaking at the recent UFC 227 post-fight press conference, UFC President Dana White offered his thoughts on if any imprecation have been taken concerning the chances that the two fighters get into a physical altercation before fight night.

“No, I’m pretty confident that we controlled what happened.” White said.

“Obviously now we are very aware and very ready for that.” White later continued. “Nothing is going to happen.”
