UFC President Dana White has dubbed ‘UFC 229: Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Conor McGregor’ the biggest fight in UFC history.
As such, the UFC boss obviously has an idea of what he expects the pay-per-view buy rate to be.
According to Dana White, he cis projecting UFC 229 to go north of 2 million buys. If it does this, it will beat out the previous two record breakers handed down by Nate Diaz and Conor McGregor.
In an interview with TSN Sports, the UFC president stated, “We’re looking at two million pay-per-view buys. There was really no problems putting this fight together. It’s what makes Conor McGregor such an international superstar. This guy fights anybody, anywhere, any time. After a two-year layoff, he comes right out of the gate and wants Khabib and Khabib, who’s undefeated and obviously destroyed everybody in front of him, wants this fight now and wants to defend his title against Conor McGregor.”
UFC 229 is set to go down from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, on October 6.
