T.J. Dillashaw earned the UFC bantamweight title once again back at UFC 217 with a second round TKO victory over Cody Garbrandt. The two talented mixed martial artists then held a rematch in the main event of UFC 227 on Aug. 4.
Dillashaw earned another second round TKO victory over his opponent to retain the title. Following the win, Dillashaw revealed that he has no interest in offering former opponent and former champion Dominick Cruz a title fight rematch. Cruz earned a split decision victory over Dillashaw back at UFC Fight Night 81.
Speaking on ESPN’s Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show, Dominick Cruz offered his thoughts on the matter.
“You can’t even get TJ Dillashaw to say, Yeah, I want to fight the best guy in the division. … That’s the champ dodging the best guy in the division when he says he’s the P4P best.”
