A female strawweight fight years in the making is finally happening, at what appears to be a stacked UFC 229 event.
Female fan favorite fighters Felice Herrig and Michelle Waterson have agreed to fight.
UFC 229 goes down on October 6. The night’s main card is capped off with a UFC lightweight title fight between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov. The event takes place from the T-Mobile Arena, in Las Vegas, and will air live on pay-per-view.
Herrig was recently on the fast track to a potential title fight. With wins in four fights straight, she took on former title challenger Karolina Kowalkiewicz last April, and lost.
Waterson on the other hand just bounced back from a two-fight skid with a win over Cortney Casey.
This bout is sure to deliver for fight fans.
