Frank Trigg Returns To UFC Action, In Rare Referee Appearance

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) hosted the highly anticipated fight card for UFC 227 over the weekend. The stunning event featured the return of UFC Hall of Famer Frank Trigg to the octagon. Of course, Trigg was the third man in the octagon this time around.

Frank Trigg is a veteran mixed martial artist, having earned a spot in the UFC Hall of Fame for his historic octagon battle against Matt Hughes from back at UFC 52. Now the retired fighter has turned to a profession of being a mixed martial arts referee.

Well, Trigg stepped inside the octagon as the man in black for flyweights Alex Perez and Jose Torres match up at UFC 227 on Saturday in Los Angeles, Calif. Check out screen caps from the moment down below.
