Dillon Danis first gained fame within the mixed martial arts world for being the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu coach to none other than UFC megastar Conor McGregor. Since then, Danis made his own MMA debut under the banner of Bellator MMA.
Danis earned a first round submission victory over Kyle Walker, a fighter that was 2-3 before the match up. Since then, Danis has been asserting himself as the top star of the Bellator promotion.
Appearing on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show, Dillon Danis brought things to a new level by claiming that Bellator MMA had notified him that the new welterweight tournament under the promotion is simply designed to determine his next opponent. In reality, the tournament is destined to determine the next champion of the division.
However, ESPN’s Ariel Helwani was seemingly unable to keep from laughing at the notion. Check it out below.
