The world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion delivered the stunning fight card for UFC 227 on Saturday, Aug. 4. Co-headlining the night’s event, UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson faced off against Henry Cejudo for a title fight rematch.
Johnson earned a first round TKO victory in their first match up. “Mighty Mouse” has since broken the UFC record for the most consecutive title defenses with a massive 11 victories.
Henry Cejudo and “Mighty Mouse” ultimately went the distance in their stunning co-main event on Saturday, with the Olympic medalist ultimately earning a split decision victory for the title.
In his post-fight interview, Henry Cejudo called out the winner of UFC 227’s headlining title fight between UFC bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw and former champion Cody Garbrandt.
