Former UFC light heavyweight champions Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz have been chomping at the bit for another shot at each other. While the fight is reportedly still in negotiation, a target date and venue for the bout has been set.
“The Iceman” has finished Tito Ortiz in both of their previous fights. However, Ortiz has remained active much longer than his opponent. Now the two newly un-retired fighters have signed on with Oscar De La Hoya’s new Golden Boy MMA promotion.
As reported by MMA Fighting, Oscar De La Hoya has since filed an application with the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) for an event to be held in Inglewood, Calif. on Nov. 4. The news source also reports that Liddell vs. Ortiz III has yet to be finalized, but is still being negotiated and would be intended for the card’s main event.
