McGregor Teammate Banned From Russian MMA After Insulting Khabib’s God

SBG Ireland is home to many mixed martial artist. The gym is perhaps most famous for being home to UFC megastar Conor McGregor.

McGregor’s Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu instructor Dillon Danis has since garnered some attention of is own from fight fans. Beyond that, SBG Ireland’s Artem Lobov is on the UFC roster alongside “Notorious.”

With all of that in mind, another fighter from the famous gym was recently kicked off of the Fight Nights Global roster. As reported by MMA Team Dagestan, SGB Ireland’s Peter Queally was recently removed from FNG for posting “Ireland is stronger than Allah” on social media. The message has since been deleted. The news source also reported that Khabib Nurmagomedov was one of many fighters that supported the firing of Peter Queally.

Meanwhile, Conor McGregor is officially set to return to the octagon. The Ireland native will face undefeated UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov in the main event of UFC 229 on Oct. 6 from within the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev., live on pay-per-view.
