Earlier this year, UFC superstar Nate Diaz and mixed martial arts veteran Clay Guida entered a heated altercation at a an event. Now the authorities have come forward with an update on the recent incident.
Back in May, Guida and Diaz were spotted at the “Combate Americas: Mexico vs. USA” event. However, things did not go so well when the two fighters crossed paths.
Clay Guida reportedly filed a police report after having a physical altercation with the Stockton native at the event. However, Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department spokesman Shaun Hampton recently informed MMA Junkie that Clay Guida refused to move forward with the case. Consequently, the misdemeanor battery case has seemingly been dropped.
Nate Diaz is now set to fight Dustin Poirier in the co-main event of UFC 230 on Nov. 3, live on pay-per-view.
