Sandhagen Takes Out Alcantara In Fight Of The Year Contender

Fight fans are flooding into the Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Nebraska tonight for the latest fight card from the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). With the fight card now underway, fight fans can take a look at the UFC results from the latest bout to take place at the exciting event.

UFC Fight Night 135 is taking place on Saturday, Aug. 25, for the Lincoln crowd, offering a series of stunning match ups for fight fans worldwide. Continuing the night’s preliminary card on FOX Sports 2, bantamweights Iuri Alcantara and Cory Sandhagen are going toe-to-toe for the Lincoln crowd.

Alcantara and Sandhagen opened up the fight with perhaps one of the most intense first rounds in UFC history. Alcantara locked in a submission attempt early in the fight, ultimately pummeling his opponent with some devastating ground and pound that bloodied the fighter’s face.

However, Sandhagen managed to turn the tide by escaping the submission attempt and gaining a dominant position from the ground. From there, the fighter bloodied his opponent with some devastating strikes of his own.

The second round reached a swift end, as Cory Sandhagen pressured his opponent to the canvas and pummeling the fighter to a TKO victory.
