Olympic gold medalist Henry Cejudo shocked the world over the weekend. Following his UFC title earning octagon performance, the Olympian has decided to gift his belt to his coach.
UFC 227 took place from within the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Calif. on Saturday. Co-headlining the night’s live pay-per-view event, Henry Cejudo avenged his loss against UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson with a split decision victory.
Taking to Instagram, ESPN’s Ariel Helwani has since provided a video of Henry Cejudo giving coach Eric Albarracin his title. Check it out within the social media post below.
“Privileged to witness this moment between @Henry_Cejudo and @CPTdasAmericas after our show tonight. Captain Eric doesn’t get enough credit for being one of the best coaches in the game, so it was real cool to see Cejudo give him the belt. Could tell he got emotional.”
