UFC bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw earned his second consecutive second round TKO finish over former title holder Cody Garbrandt in the main event of UFC 227 on Saturday. Following the fight, Dillashaw revealed that he has no intention of granting fellow former title holder Dominick Cruz a title shot any time soon.
Dominick Cruz would go on to claim that Dillashaw was ducking him due to the fact that Cruz believes himself to be the toughest competitor in the division. Taking to Twitter, Dillashaw has now come forward with a response.
“‘The problem is, I beat him already. You can’t be the best unless you beat the guy that beat you,’ (Cruz) So beat Cody who whooped your ass and took MY belt that the judges gave you. I knocked him out TWICE and you get demolished by him and can’t even stay healthy #MRGLASS”
