The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) initially announced that the highly anticipated fight card for UFC 229 sold out within just three minutes of the event’s tickets being made available. However, it would appear that is not quite the truth.
UFC 229 is set to go down Oct. 6 from within the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev. Headlining the night’s event, UFC megastar Conor McGregor is going toe-to-toe with undefeated UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Through the UFC’s official UFC on BT Sport Twitter account, the promotion recently claimed that UFC 229 sold out of tickets within three minutes of sales being made available.

However, MMA Fighting’s Dave Meltzer has since reported that the event still has hundreds of tickets available for purchase. Via the AXS ticket website, a few hundred tickets are available for purchase at prices starting at a staggering $990.
