Former UFC women’s bantamweight title challenger Valentina Shevchenko is now set to take on reigning UFC women’s flyweight champion Nicco Montano. That being said, “Bullet” is seemingly not entirely convinced that Montano will show up to the fight.
“I will be ready for this date.” Shevchenko said in a recent interview with MMA Fighting. “I hope that Nicco will follow her word and will show up in the octagon and we will fight. Because how I say every time, before she will be inside of the octagon I can not believe she will do it.”
Valentina Shevchenko and Nicco Montano are set to throw down in the co-main event of UFC 228. The live pay-per-view event will take place Sept. 8 in Dallas, Texas.
