UFC featherweight veteran Cub Swanson is throwing down this weekend. However, it would appear that the talented mixed martial artist has put down some serious money for tickets to the same event he’s fighting on.
Cub Swanson is set to face off against Renato Carneiro at UFC 227 on Saturday, Aug. 4. The live pay-per-view event will take place within the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Calif. for fight fans worldwide.
Speaking on episode 3 of UFC 227 Embedded, Cub Swanson revealed that he spent $26,000 on tickets for his family and friends to be able to attend the event.
“I bought $26,000, so that is just my close friends and family.
Swanson said. “Those are just people that are in my phone book that I said yeah to. I’m going to have a good crowd there.”
