After Going 0-2, CM Punk Not Yet Done With MMA

Phil Brooks, better known by his WWE moniker CM Punk, suffered a devastating two fight losing streak inside the octagon. That being said, it would appear that the former professional wrestler is not yet deterred from the sport of mixed martial arts.

CM Punk made his big MMA debut against Mickey Gall, ultimately suffering a devastating first round submission loss to the fighter. In his big octagon return at UFC 225 earlier this year, Punk went toe-to-toe with Mike Jackson. While Punk managed to go the distance, the former WWE superstar ultimately suffered a lopsided decision loss.

Now speaking to 411 Mania, CM Punk has come forward to reveal that he is getting back in the gym to continue training in MMA.

“Today’s my first day off from a four-week movie shoot. It’s week three, and this is like the first day that I’m off. Prior to that, I was up in Toronto working on a Soska Sisters remake of the legendary [David] Cronenberg film, Rabid. It’s a film I’m working on now. They’re kind of futzing with the title, but I think they’ve settled on Girl on the Third Floor. And there’s a whole bunch of other stuff in the queue I’m kinda just working on and working my way through.”

“As soon as I wrap here, I’ll be right back in the gym.”
