The world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion is in Dallas, Texas tonight for the latest fight card from the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Now the time has come to take a look at the UFC results for the latest exciting match up from the event.
UFC 228 is taking place within the American Airlines Center this Saturday for the Dallas crowd. Continuing the night’s UFC Fight Pass preliminary card, women’s bantamweights Irene Aldana and Lucie Pudilova are now going toe-to-toe in a war for division supremacy.
Pudilova fired off with a furry in the first round. The fighter began pummeling Aldana with a series of jabs. However, Aldana retaliated with some tough power shots. This will be a tough round for the judges.
In the second round, Pudilova was seemingly getting the better of her opponent in the stand up. Aldana maintained a high frequency of strikes, but failed to get the respect of Pudilova as the fighter continued to press forward.
Neither fighter was interested in backing down, as much of the five minute brawl took place on the feet. This will be another tough one for the judges.
Aldana appeared to be the fresher of the two fighters in the final round, as the mixed martial artist began pouring on the pressure. However, Pudilova continued to counter with strong strikes to the head and body.
The two talented fighters kept things on the feet in a bloody octagon war that ultimately went the distance, leaving the Dallas crowd on screaming on their feet.
UFC Results: Irene Aldana def. Lucie Pudilova via split decision (29-28, 28-29 and 29-28)
