Bellator Champ Rory MacDonald Puts Entire “annoying and fake” UFC Welterweight Division On Blast

Rory MacDonald is a former UFC title challenger. That being said, it would appear that the now reigning Bellator welterweight champion is no longer looking back.

“Red King” is now set to challenge Gegard Mousasi for his middleweight title in the main event of Bellator 206 on Saturday, Sept. 29. Speaking to media ahead of the fight, MacDonald has now come forward with his thoughts on the current status of the UFC’s welterweight division.

“It seems very dramatic from what I can tell.” MacDonald said. “So, I’m happy to not be a part of that. I’m happy that I’m just fighting great competition over here, getting great opportunities… that’s it. I’m enjoying my sport.”

“It’s a lot of talking, just drama between all the fighters.” MacDonald later added. “I find that stuff just annoying and fake, not what martial arts is about. So I’m happy to be here where mixed martial arts is being represented in a more old fashioned way.”
