UFC lightweights Nate Diaz and Dustin Poirier were initially set to co-headline UFC 230 later this year. Now the two talented mixed martial artists will be headlining the event for a brand new title.
Fighters have been voicing an interest in a 165 pound division being implemented for some time now. However, fighters have been forced to compete within the UFC’s 170 pound welterweight and 155 pound lightweight division.
Nate Diaz and Dustin Poirier have since each taken to social media to reveal that they are now set to fight for the inaugural UFC 165 pound division title in the main event of UFC 230. The event will take place Nov. 3 from within the illustrious Madison Square Garden in New York.
